The Ultimate One Day Aruba Road Trip Itinerary

If you want to see what Aruba has to offer in just one day, grab our itinerary and a car, and hit the road! Aruba might be small, there are many things to see from secluded beaches, sand dunes, a national park, beautiful beaches, and food options galore! Here is how we would Here’s our favorite one-day itinerary to help you get the most out of your day.

Morning: Start at Arashi Beach

Kick off your day at Arashi Beach, a local favorite with crystal-clear water and way fewer crowds than the main beaches. It’s perfect for a morning swim or snorkeling session to wake you up. Plus, the views here are stunning and the beach is quiet in the early morning.

Mid-Morning: Check Out the California Lighthouse

After some beach time at Arashi, hop in the car and head to the California Lighthouse, which is right next door and overlooks Arashi. The views from up there are unbeatable—rugged cliffs, the endless Caribbean Sea, and plenty of photo ops. It’s a classic spot for locals and visitors alike, and a quick stop is definitely worth it.

Lunch on the Way to Arikok: Huchada or Bright Bakery

Refuel before your afternoon adventure. On your way south to Arikok National Park, stop by Huchada for authentic Aruban dishes or swing by Bright Bakery if you’re craving some fresh pastries and local snacks. Both spots are popular with locals and offer a true taste of Aruba.

Afternoon: Explore Arikok National Park, Stop in San Nicolas & Cool Off at Baby Beach

Spend your afternoon exploring Arikok National Park. From desert landscapes to caves and unique flora, there’s plenty to see. Don’t miss the Natural Pool (Conchi) if you’re up for a bit of an off-road drive or hike.

After the park, make a quick stop in San Nicolas, the island’s vibrant art and culture hub. Grab some food and drinks at the Nicolaas Store, a cool cafe and local favorite with great eats. And while you’re there, don’t forget to take a quick self-guided mural tour around town to see colorful street art that tells the story of Aruba’s heritage and creativity.

Afterward, cool off at nearby Baby Beach, a calm, shallow lagoon perfect for snorkeling or just relaxing. It’s a great way to unwind after hiking and exploring.

Sunset in Savaneta

After San Nicolas and Baby Beach head to charming Savaneta on the way back north to catch a classic Aruban sunset at Pos Chiquito Beach Park or Mangel Halto. The vibe is laid-back and local, a perfect contrast to the busier tourist areas of Arashi Beach and Baby Beach.

Dinner in Savaneta

Finish your day with a seafood dinner at one of Savaneta’s top spots: Zeerover for fresh catch right off the boat, Flying Fishbone for dining right on the water, Marina Pirata for a casual, waterfront vibe, or The Old Man and the Sea for an upscale romantic setting with ocean views.

This itinerary packs the best of Aruba into one day with a mix of nature, culture, and food that you will love!
